Engine harness

I am starting car shopping today to replace my Toyota 4-Runner. Among other cars, I want to look at some MB wagons. What years of 124 and 210 models have the bad engine harness?

I don't know what year it started, but ran thru '95. This should not be a problem as they have either been replaced or can be replaced, just adjust the purchase price accordingly. Don't pass up a good car because of the harnesss.

Year 1994-1996.... If you want to spend an extra $1200 to replace the wiring
harness then don't pass up a good car bet. these years.

I believe it was all W124 cars after 8/92. Do a search-MBDoc looked into this at one point. Had to do with more 'environmentally friendly' wiring insulation that was adapted.

I hope you get a TE-it won't disappoint.

Did they mention anything like once replaced you don't need to replace
them the second time around?

Of course! THe new insulation won't do the same thing.... They are a little smarter than that! So you're totally fine with the new stuff.
