specs for replacing valves 1985 380se
I am replacing 4 exhaust valves in drivers side head.
I have the new valves, but cannot find the specs in my Mitchell manual as the program corrupted in my computer. Am going to purchase a new manual but need valve info asap. Thanks for any help!!! Don |

What are you asking?
Do you need directions for removing the head?
Normally, you would pull the head and have a machine shop at least surface the head, check the guides, install new seals, and do a grind.

no, the head is off and it was cleaned and surfaced. have new valves and seats and guides but the guy doing the valves said the guides are fine, he just told me to get the specs for the valves. He also told me I may be ab;e to find them at a library so im checking there today.
btw I pulled the head and intake myself with the help from you all here. A guide rail broke and stuck between chain and gear causing chain to jump. Bent 4 exhaust valves on drivers side. replacing 3 top rails, tensioner rail, chain, and all rubber hoses. There was no other damage just the valves. everything else looked perfect, no signs of wear and very clean. Thanks again for all the much needed help You guys ROCK! Don |
