95 W202 C280 Driver Power Seat Gears
Hi...
The Driver Power Seat Gear for the bottom cushion's height adjustment seems to have been broken. I've read online that the only way is to replace the entire bottom seat frame, which is extremely expensive. Just wondering whether there's a way to purchase the seat gearbox separately? If yes, can anyone provide a source and a part number for it? Thanks in advance. |

Your best bet would be to source a used part, as Mercedes is really proud $$$$ of theirs.

Don't know if the seats are similar to those in a 124. If so, check out this link:

Thanks for your reply. It seems that the W202 uses a gear box/transmission to transfer power from the motor to the seat cushion, and not a driveshaft/speedometer cable.
Now, all I really need is a replacement gear box/transmission for the driver's seat and I should be back in business. Can anyone let me know whether the gear box/transmission is available as a separate part and where can I find such a part? Please let me know. Thanks. |
