Carsoft 7.4 Error Codes Info & Help

Hi all,

Merry Christmas to all in advance, and I hope you all have a good time over the festive period as I will

I was wondering if I could pick your brains for a while? Are there any Carsoft guru's out there?

The story goes... I had a problem with my SRS light on my W203 (yr 2000) permanently on, so I got myself a Multiplexer which works with Carsoft to help remedy this. Carsoft diagnostic revealed too many faults on the front and rear SAM's that you could shake a $h1tty stick at! But I cleared all those and all is fine.

I could't however, make the SRS light go off, even after Carsoft had erased all errors in the Airbag system memory! It still remained on and all the diagnostic I did on the Airbag system gave me this information:

----------------------------------------------------------
Single Diagnostic AIRBAG - Status ERROR!

Module: AIRBAG
MB Nr: 001 820 97 26
H/W Ver: 09/99
S/W Ver: 42/99
Diag Rec: 00/00

B1039 Ignition Circuit Rear Left Sidebag :> Ohm (Open Circuit)
-> Verify the wiring, connections and control unit.
-> Possible short circuit to terminal 31, 30, 15, 15R.
-> The Isolation resistance of the ignition circuit should be > 20 Ohm.
- And the resistance of the wire should be between 2-5 Ohm.

B107C The communication with the TELE AID control unit is disturbed or cable error.

B103B Ignition Circuit Rear Right Sidebag :> Ohm (Open Circuit)
-> Verify the wiring, connections and control unit.
-> Possible short circuit to terminal 31, 30, 15, 15R.
-> The Isolation resistance of the ignition circuit should be > 20 Ohm.
- And the resistance of the wire should be between 2-5 Ohm.

- Single diagnosis completed!
----------------------------------------------------------

I have a pretty good idea that I need to check the wiring somewhere and possibly that there is some module within the Air-bag system that could be faulty? Can anyone please give a more detailed explanation of what I need to do to rectify these errors and if anyone has a list of Carsoft error codes that may help now and in the future, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks guy's.

Andy...
