Which one?

Okay, I am going to buy a cheap Engine Control Module from Ebay... (Maybe). I was wondering does it have numbers to pair up to my car or will any that fits a 97 E320 work? Several listed have different like SN but others listed just say Engine Control Module for 97 E320? HELP!!!???!!!???
