U581? U381? Which one for 1997 S600 W140?

Hi all. I need some advice - I am looking to buy a DTC reader for my S600 and am not sure which one to buy. I have seen a couple on Ebay - it seems like my car may support the U581... Can anybody help?

The old standard was ISO 9141.
