Weird Chrome things on the rear end of a 400SE
I was following one earlier this afternoon, and I noticed on the rear quarters, just before the end, near the trunk lid, there are two chrome 'buttons' what are they?? If I had a camera I'd have snapped a photo...

When you place the lever in reverse, there are two rods that extend from the rear fenders to help you see the back of the car.
Deleted on later versions. Jim

When it was first introduced, AutoWeek claimed that Mercedes had finally hit the saturation point of power options.
