Need help with valve adjust on an M110

There's lot of support here and elsewhere for how to adjust the valves on this engine, a 2.8l DOHC M110 engine. But to crank the engine with a switch, the manual specifies connecting terminal 50 to the positive terminal on the battery. That took some searching- it's hidden under the battery holder and more accessible from underneath than any other direction. But there is no indication for which is terminal 50 on the block. I don't want to zap a bunch of electrical components on the car guessing.

Anybody know this?

Also, does the ignition need to be on or off to crank the engine? And if it's on, should I disconnect the fuel pump relay? If so, where is that?

Or . . . should I just get over it and turn it with a socket?

jk

Sorry, I can't remember which terminal it is because I prefer to turn the engine via the power-steering pump - all plugs out of course. But if you insist on the electric approach, you must disconnect the fuel pump relay, which is located in the relay box, left fender well just in front of the fuse box.
