I have a MB C220 with a wireing harness melt down. I have read many threads addressing this problem. Sitting in the car, the harness in question is one of two in the right rear top corner of the engin compartment. The one the has shorted is the one on the left of the two harnesses connected. If this is any help, some wires are going to an air intake.
My question is where besides the dealer would one go to purchase this harness. one thread I read suggested to lay the harness on top of the defected one and start switching each one out. I certainly would be very greatful for any help with my 70 year old moms car. I can not see getting her another car, she will not be driving much longer.
