'96 W210 Power Steering Pump?

Quick question on a noise that I get when the car is cold. When pulling out of the garage in the morning after the car has completely cooled down, there is a very noticeable whirring sound that I get from the engine compartment when the steering wheel is turned to either extreme. I don't get it when the wheel is straight ahead or after the car has warmed up. Is this the power steering pump? The fluid level in the pump checks out OK. If it's the pump, how tough a job is this? Thanks.

Changing the pump would be fairly easy, but have you checked on the price of the part?
