Shocking! ('02 E320 Shock Advise, Please)

My wife's "new" '02 e320 4matic wagon seems like it has a mushy LF shock (though it ain't leaking). 73K miles.

I've read the archived forum threads, and still not clear on just what to do. Seems the rear "shocks" are part of the self leveling system, and normally not to be replaced (unless they leak). So, just the front, then.

To keep the wagon on an even keel, I'd like to replace the front shocks with something that matches the rears. Seems all the replacement shocks are "HD" or sport. Is there a "comfort" or OE type shock available (without going to the dealer)? Tire Rack shows KYB. Most others Bilstein.

Yes, I love HD Bilsteins too. I have 'em on my Audi, and yellow Koni's on my Porsche. My wife thinks the Audi rides too stiff, and the 911 like a skateboard. Its her 320 wagon. I think it handles like a Buick, but she like the mush.

So, which shock is best for the front?

TIA!
