M103 IACV Hose Replacement
i have a pair of the IACV hoses laying around and took a quick look under the hood and it doesnt look easy to replace the hoses.
is there a better way to replace the hoses than to just start ripping parts out that are in the way? btw, this is for a 190E 2.6 |

no easy way but the new hoses should be flexible. Check for cracks and leaks first, you may not need to replace them yet.

oh they are cracked and brittle. i did notice that the new hoses are very flexible, so it might not be too bad then.

When I did it I ripped out the old ones chunk by chunk, then spent about 2 hours getting the new ones in, thankfully they are flexible, I made them even more so by warming them by a heater prior to installation.

The difficult one is the end that goes onto the engine block under the manifold. I needed to get underneath the car and reach up.
190e 2.6 does not have much maneuver room in the engine bay ![]() Its an easier job if you remove the fuel regulator. |

It's much easier if you unbolt the intake manifold and pull it back.
