I want to remove the whole assembly to streamline the look.

The wiper cover pulls up to expose an 8mm hex nut, remove that and the arm is free. If you want to remove the motor also that is a bit more involved, start by removing the turn-signal assembly, there is a clip that needs to be pinched, you will see it on the driver's side assembly, then slide the turn-signal assembly forward and out.
Now all of the bolts should be exposed, top/left/right. Start with the one at the end of the filler panel under the headlamp, remove that panel, remove the bolts and the plastic clip at the top (rotate 1/4 turn) and the headlamp assembly will be free. If you are looking for the blank panel beneath the headlamp, they were the standard panel in '95, most 124s '86-'94 had headlamp wipers standard (exc. 260E) in the US.

There's also a water reservoir plug for wiper delete you can get from the dealer. Then you can remove the hoses, wiper pump, and daisy chained wire to windshield pump.

If they are Euros, I'll buy the wiper motor assemblies and trade blank panels for yours.
The Euros have the wipers parked inboard of the motor axle.
