I have a 95 s600 v12 my asr lite was on i found a canister in the driver front it said hydraulic fluid only so i filled it with brake fluid and the lite when out for two days. then I learned that was a powersteering resivior cause the pump lesaked all the fluid out. i then filled it with both stop leak p/s fluids and hydrulic fluid. the front seal of the pump just drips now but when i go over 1/4 throttle asr lite comes on.for the two days the car ran fantastic can someone please help do I need a new p/s pump help me please

P/S pumps do not fail. You just need to remove the pump and replace the $5.00 seal. Also make sure your P/S fluid hoses are tightened and not leaking.

Your ASR issue is even more bizarre than mine, so I will be paying very close attention to this thread. Welcome to the realm... :)

ASR = Automatic Slip Reduction as in traction control control brakes at all 4 wheels. It's connected to the ABS system and the Tempomat cruise control system.

MBs require specific fluids for various systems. My 94 e320 uses Power Steering fluid FEBI 08972 and the hydraulic fluid Febi 2615 used in the self leveling suspension although they use the same pump. PS fluid into the top of pump, self leveling fluid into its reservoir. PS pump has internal float, don't overfill!

Check specific fluid requirements for your year and model to be sure.

They also use specific spark pugs among other items. Don't vary from the spec!
