I was looking at a 95 SL600 today I was thinking of purchasing. Everything else seemed ok,but the trans will not go into reverse for a long time. The person selling the car said it was just a solenoid on the trans. The fluid seemed a little burned to me but not awful. The car has 69,000 on it.foreward gears are all fine and it is not making any noises. I need to know how bad this is prior to making an offer.
