Possible to swap Sportline bars from a '89 CE to a '95 D?
Shortly after purchasing my 1989 300CE about ten years ago, I installed Sportline front and rear sway bars in addition to Bilstein HD shocks all around. That really, really improved the handling of the coupe, (in addition to 1/2 inch wider wheels and the associated larger tires).
I'm currently considering the purchase of a 1995 E300D. Can I pull the bars and shocks off of the 300CE and install them onto the E300D, and conversely, take the E300D bars and shocks and put them on the 300CE (before selling it)? Or...are Sportline bars still available in the marketplace? Thanks.

The HD struts and shocks will fit on the E300Diesel. The sportline front bar will fit, and sportline bars can be ordered through the dealer or here with Phil I think.
I do not know if the sportline rear bar will fit. |
