190 Interior light wiring

I posted this on the diesel forum, but thought i'd try here as well. Any help greatly appreciated!

I have a 1987 190DTurbo (that has an older style interior light) into which I am trying to wire a newer style interior light (the larger type with the row of warning lights across the bottom). It has a five prong plug on it with the prongs like this:

X X
X X
X

These go to

ground, (Brown)
power always on (Red)
power on with ign on (Bk red)
to the door switches (Br grey)
to the sun visor lights. (Brown red)

I have the wiring diagram, but I do not have the plug from the newer wiring harness, so I don't know which contact on the light itself corresponds with which wire color

My car has seperate wires, rather than a plug, so

What color goes to what contact on the light -

X X
X X
X

Anyone know the arragement or have one with the part of the wiring harness with the wires that they can have a look at for me?

Thanks!
George
