94 C280 pass. side mirror
Hey folks would appreciate your help, suggestions on the pass. mirror. Had car detailed and the pass. mirror must've gotten to much pressure and now the mirror flips up from the bottom and is holding on only from the top.
Can this be repaired, and if so how? If not any recommended replacement? I sent out a question to http://www.mbatc.de/english/index_e.htm and will be waiting for their reply also on replacement parts and cost. If there is a way to remove it and repair it though, I'd rather go that route. Ps. I've read that the mirrors can be replaced with ones that have the built in turn signals. I can see the safety value in this but would it require running wire and trying to locate the lead for the proper turn signal hot wire fir each side? Well, thanks and sure appreciate the help. Those cars have wire clips that hold the mirror. There is a pretty good chance that nothing is broken. However, it gets a little tricky to install. The older mirrors were very easy to install. If you want to try it yourself carefully unclip the side that is still holding it. Once the mirror is off you can try figuring how to install it. If you get stuck take it to a tech. A tech shouldn't take more than 2 minutes to install. They probably won't even charge you.
