my wife had a back rear tire problem which appears to have punctured a charcoal filter assiocated which the gas tank. The charcoal is all gone.
Mercedes 1998 E320 wagon I do not have a tech manual for the car & the owner manual does not address the part. It appears that it might be for gas tank vapor when filling but I am not sure. Anyone with any knowledge would be helpful. Thanks Tyree Last edited by tyree; 06-29-2009 at 11:19 AM. Reason: name of car |

my car is a 1998 mercedes E320 wagon. I have own the car for less than a year. The component is located directly behind the gas fill line on the right side of the car looking forward. There was a black charcoal substance on the back of the car. Thanks
