w124 transmission modulator

Does anybody know if this requires the rear transmission support to be removed to get at the bugger?

I searched but could only find 190e info.

Thanks,
Robert

When I replaced the modulator on 722.3 trans.witch is located on the driver side of the transmission.
all I had to do remove, the vacuum line, and the two 8mm-5/16 allen head screws,
and pull it out gently. that simple, pay intention to the parts as you take it out.
and when installing the new one, replace the o-ring seal on the modulator.
and you have to adjust the vacuum on the new modulator, for proper shifting.
