head light wiper motor 124/201
I found a 124 in the salvage yard that still has the wiper motors in it. I have a euro 190 and the wiper motors are shot. Does anyone know if they are the same or not? the 190 is an 87 and the 124 is a later 80's early 90's model.
I would think if MB could save a few bucks they would use the same motor for both right? Again, this is headlight wiper motor not windshield. Thanks

I believe that the '86-'93 US 124 had motors unique to those years and US only. The Euro 124 is different (same as '94 & '95 US).
Whether the 201 is the same I don't know and wouldn't bet on it. There is a number on the back of the motor assembly, if the 124 does not have the same number, it is different.

The wiper motors are all very similar... the differences are the gear which drives the rack which spins the output rod, and the output rod. The issue is you end up breaking the housing as you try to take it apart.
