ml320 1999

is anyone has any idea why my key is loose inside the ignition. it starts and off but the problem is the key is not lock i can get it if i want when running or if i park eventhough i dont turn off the engine. do i need to replace a new key, ignition switch or lock.
pls. help

Yours ought to have a silver beauty ring aroung the outside of the ign. Is it tight?
