a/c problem
It's me again. I have a 1999 C230 Kompressor. This afternoon on my way home from work, the A/C just stopped working. No air coming out of the vent. I had this loud whistling noise that used to come in and out while the A/C was on. Now there's no noise, and no air. Help

The obvious is to check fuses, you probably have already done it. If fuses are ok, the next possible culprit is your blower, which you can access it under the passenger footwell. Take it out and jump the motor itself and see if it work, if it is strong with 12V, then it is the blower regulator attached to the motor

Sounds like a very logical diagnostic procedure. I'll try it. Can the motor be tested without removing it? Maybe by just putting meter probes in there while the key is on to see if the appropriate terminals are getting 12V? The blower regulator has been acting up for a couple of years now (blower has a mind of its own sometimes), but nothing too serious.
Thanks. |
