Hi,

I have a problem with my 1995 C-Class C200 Diesel with flip key. The key fob locks and unlocks the car no problem. But when I put the key into the ignition and turn to position two the rear view mirror lights flash alternative, and so the car won't start. It gets going but then cuts out, so it looks like the immobilizer is cutting off the fuel pump.

I have replaced the batteries in key fob, didn't work. Re-synced the key with car, didn't work. Tried second key fob for car, didn't work. Disconnected the car battery for a week, didn't work.

What else can I do, my local garage isn't sure of the problem. Is there anyway to bypass the immobilizer to get the car going again? Or is there any other tricks I can try first.
