Quick fix for a common problem - B Pillar

most of our old gals find the MB tex falling off the B pillars. Took them off a buddies of mine , cleaned the two surfaces, applied contact cement and were back like new in no time
first pic is the before, next application, third - final result

Nice job. I need to do that X4. Were yours torn near the seat belt openings like mine are? In my 126s, the tex seems to have shrunk somewhat which would seem to make re-gluing it difficult at best.

I have a 300SD with the same issue, except the B pillars were torn. I found MB tex by the yard through World Upholstery and Trim. Believe a yard was about $50.00, which easily covered both front pillars with plenty left over. The material is extremely close; the only difference is that it appears the original vinyl had a thin foam backing. As a result, the indents in the metal show through slightly. I used the old ones as a pattern and adhered them with spray adhesive. Getting the material to stick properly around the edges was my only problem.

well I found that with the contact cement I was able to stretch it some, granted it was not badly torn, but it was torn
