W210 front seats, seam very "loose"
Ok, pretty much on every W210 I have driven, I have noticed the front seats to "shift" when stopping and going. SO annoying. Its more audible than anything. I noticed that when the seat is in a higher (height) setting, it is more prone to do this. It is most likely the joints in the seat frame itself. Is there some kind of fix for this, short of replacing the entire seat? I am pretty crafty and have no problem removing the seat to make modifications. I was just wondering if anyone else has mitigated this annoying problem?
thanks!

i believe there is a TSB out there for this issue. There are some replacement screws you can get from the dealer, but I can't say if they resolve the issue.
I know exactly what you're talking about though - my E430 does the same thing.

our wagon does this.....really irritating. When we were under warranty the SA told us it needed a new rail carriage, not under warranty and not cheap. We've learned to live with it.
