C36 valve body swap or shift kit for 722.4

My W124 E320 4 speed auto box is flaring a bit.

Wondering if I should get a transmission valve body from a C36 or look around instead for a shift kit and just replace the springs in my current tranny.

I remember someone writing that a C36 valve body has longer hold onto each gear before changing which makes it a bit sportier. This would be nice but I'd like some opinions beforehand; and is the C36 VB just like the VB I've got except the springs or are there other differences which make it worth it.

thanks,
