Hey guys, my uncle just gave me a Fluke 99B Scopemeter

Just got a Fluke 99B scopemeter that's in mint condition with all accesories and manuals.

My question is: Is this scope meter a good tool to keep for any type of Mercedes Benz repairs?.....I was a tech waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the 114, 115, 123 chassis days.......But I own a few mid 90-2001 Mercedes now.

Thank you in advance

Honestly,

It's a bit of overkill for when a digital VOM is needed.

IF you were to sell what would you ask for it?

Scopes are very valuable tools for troubleshooting even the newest of vehicles. With pressure transducers, low current probes, high voltage inductive clamps, etc... you can perform very detailed diagnosis of the key components in any automotive system.

Yes, they're overkill if all you need is a DVOM (which is why you should have both), but they're very useful if you know how to read them or at leave have access to a waveform library.

After all, if they weren't useful for modern vehicles, Snap-on, Genisys, etc.. wouldn't be making bigger & better ones.
