1984 500SEC Euro Fuel Pump Relay

My car has been sitting awhile and wouldn't start. I drained the tank and re-filled with 5 gals fresh gas. I can't hear the fuel pump working. I wanted to remove the relay and jump the pins to test the pump. Other threads have said to jump pins 7 and 8 for other w126 car models. My questions are 1.) Can I do the same jump of pins 7 and 8 for my model car? and 2.) How can I tell pins 7 and 8? Where are they marked?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me...

it might be easier to just run 12V directly to the pump...
