1992 300E Hood Stop
Simple question...how do I adjust the hood stops on this 300E? There is a rubber stopper that is mounted on a bolt that threads into a nut that is sitting on the brace on each side. Should a person just be able to grab the rubber stopper and turn it, or do you have to loosen then nut first before trying to turn the stopper? Seems like mine are all frozen so it doesn't want to adjust. Just want to know where to apply force to break it free.

Hit it with penetrant first and wait a while, then loosen the nut, adjust the stop, then re-tighten the nut.
