'87 560 SEL 126K vacuum valve

I need to change my vacuum valve on my '87 560SEL. It's the long bar-like part with 6 or 7 vacuum lines connected to it. It directs the vacuum flow to the correct vacuum motor when the appropriate button is pushed on the climate control console. Where is located? I can't locate it

in the front dash to the left and behind the glove box

Take out the carpet on passenger side front then take the kick panel down(only a few screws) there is a hidden phillips head screw toward the front about 6 inches fron the firewall and 3 innches from the floor remove that. starting at the front of the panel work it loose and remove the whole panel takes about 5 to 10 mins the vacuum bar is right there and easily worked with.
