Wheels spacers W116

Is using 8MM spacers in the rear to make the rear track match the front a good idea?

Sorry, oldsinner, I will never let my tires stick out farther than my wheel wells, not after a girl here was killed by a rock thrown by a vehicle. I just want the rear track to match the front.
