W-126: "Door-check" covers?

Any help here?

I was checking Fast Lane's catalogue regarding my MB ('88 420 SEL), and notice a listing for "Door-check" covers. They sell for $2.79 apiece.

What are they? I want to make certain that I am not missing them.
