W126: Do I need new front springs or just pads?
This is a question for Steve:
My W126 has about 169,000 miles. Its got new Bilsteins all around, and rides on Michelins. My front-end has been checked out, and although not perfect (what is), its fine. The car rides a bit low in front. (Top of tire is about 3 inches below wheel arch opening. And it dips just a bit more than I would want. No toe problems, however. I do feel road surface a bit more than I would want. Query: Since ride height is totally a product of springs and spring pads, do you think I should replace the springs - or just the pads. What would you recommend? |
