2006 SLK 350 Intake Manifold Problem

Hello all,

Has anyone replace the plastic control flap on an intake manifold that controls the manifold throttle flaps? The problem is that the dealer says the small plastic part is not available and I will have to buy the whole unit.

Any help on this is appreciated. I've attached the pictures here.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Somewhat a common issue on the 2005-2007 M272 engines.

Havent seen anyone fix one..have seen many replaced.

MB has modified the part.
