I bought a 1987 300e in november of last year and have been able to do all repairs to it myself because of the help of this forum. I just wanted to let all the contributors here to know that your wealth of information is so greatly appreciated!

I bought the car for $450 and have fixed the sunroof, installed a hood release cable, changed the rear rotors and pads, fixed the dash lights, put on a cooling bypass hose (with the hacksaw fix!) installed a door handle, and resolved a lighting issue. All of this with absolutely no prior mechanical experience. It wouldn't have happened without this forum's help.
