Floor mats.. so many choices

I dont know what to choose.

Coco, OEM, or weather tech..

Anything is better than nothing of course. anyone have any recommendations?

Coco.

dubadaddy 04-06-2010 06:54 PM

Like the coco but it is hard on the dress shoes if you wear them. The weathertech are great (since your in Florida) if you have sand, dirt, water that gets in your car. The best I have found are still the MB dealers for about $100, here in CA and last for a three to four years. I try to stick to the black ones (if it matches or contrasts well) as when I see the dirt in all the other colors means I have to clean them all the time.

its probably between weather tech and coco... Seeing as the OEM mats my car had turned to goo on the underside and I spent a good amount of time scrubbing the carpets to get it out.

what's coco?

OEM Mats

I use the black rubber OEM Mercedes mats in the winter and the OEM cloth mats in the summer. The cloth mats are good. I would rate the rubber mats as excellent. Both fit perfectly.

Coco are first choice (I have a set for the w126), but they are quite pricey. My next favs are the $100 OEM style.

As I am in need of a set of 126 floor mats, I have to ask - Do the coco mats have the molded foam or equivalent on the bottom to match the floor, or do you have to use them in conjunction with the factory bottom mats? Do they have button snaps like the originals?

My 300 is missing the original bottom mats, and the homemade replacements made by the PO are real POS.

I have coco mats in my car and they are great. They are really heavy duty, with thick nubby rubber backing, and they don't have snaps-but they don't need them, they don't move around on the floor at all. So, no, you don't need to use them in conjunction with any other mats. They're super on their own.

The black rubber OEM ones are cool. They were only about 75.00 for my car for a full set.

If you get some new OEM mats, they'll also turn to goo after thirty years in the sun. And for the next thirty years, you get to have OEM mats. I like mine.

I use both cocoa and weather tech. Weather Tech in winter only for the
300E and all the time in my truck. I like Weather Tech since I had grey color mats for my truck that faded after one year and they sent me a new set at no cost.

The oem floor mats that hatterasguy put in the SDL looked like crap when I got it and I think that was 3 years after he put them in...

I think the oem is low on my list.

anyone have pics of weather tech in a w124 and or coco
