More Ethanol in the gas will it help?
Passed the Ca smog test by 1 number on the HC, all others were well within allowed limits. Probably need to replace the Cat. Does increasing the percent of ethanol help lower the hc readings. May be interesting in the future to test.

"Hypothetically" methanol will lower NO. IIRC, it didn't have any affect on HC.

I'd say ethonal being a cleaner fuel will work.Back here in Moonshine days cars ran on moonshine.Thats how Nascar was born.
Its also like the guys who run wvo for inspection and their diesels pass in flying colors. One more trick is to add 4oz. acetone to every 10 gals gas and diesel.

Never tried it, but there are a LOT of threads here and elsewhere about acetone, what type to use, and results...... I'd be worried about the fuel line rubber, but who knows if that is susceptible, I sure don't.
