W126: grease -point hole above upper front control arm mounts

I have noticed a small (about 1/3 inch) hole inside the engine compartment directly above the middle of the upper control arm mounting.

IS this a grease point? And, if so, what kind of lubricant and how much should be inserted? This may be critical - as I don't think this car has had that point greased in ages. Please advise. Thanks for any help on this.

Manufacturer press points

Greetings,

These indentations you see are simply manufacuture pressure points. Looks like a zert ought to be fitted there, bu there is no hole for grease to inlet the surface. All of Mercedes ball joints and what would seem like grease points are all sealed. No lubrication is required. if you happen to tear a joint boot please call Phil at Mercedes shop on this post and you can buy the replacement boot if caught shortly after the tear and water and dirt hasn't been introduced to the joint surface.

Charles
