Water Pump Brand

In looking at new water pump options for my M103 300CE, I see many brands. There's Graf, Geba, Laso, AC-Delco, even Cardone manufactures it. Does anybody know which, if any, of these is OEM? Or if there even is such a thing for the M103 water pumps?

It's just been my personal experience, but Laso is the only one I would trust out of those.

I have a Laso for the last year and it has worked nicely so far. While the pump was being replaced, the Graf unit ordered by the mechanic continued to leak as soon as pressure was built up internally. They reinstalled it twice and gave up. I suggested the Laso unit and so far so good.

I have an ASA water pump. It was not machined flat enough and leaks. (ASA is made in China)

I went with Graf for my V-8 E420. I installed it back in 2005. It seem to have been ok with me so far.

Dealer use to sell rebuilt ones..

Cheaper than aftermarket and better warrentee. I don't like graf after getting one with a plastic impeller which failed after a year... It's a good amount of work to replace on a M103 engine- I would go factory new or rebuilt.

Nothing... How much is your free time worth replacing the pump?

Note that the online "list price" has zero to do with Mercedes factory parts pricing. Many times, they will show you $150 list price, and you can buy it for $90. Go online and look at MBUSA wholesale price and it's $50.
I find that many times the factory is amazingly competitive or cheaper. Had problems with impellers before...

Absolutely nothing, but they don't sell the OEM.

OK so who makes the OEM? That's really the question the OP was asking that nobody has yet answered. MB doesn't make it, and it's very likely one of the manufacturers previously cited.
