Once again, where to stow the jack....

Hey guys, alright, this has been giving me trouble for months now. I have a 1992 300E, and I can't get the car-jack to fit in its storage spot next to the spare wheel. I have never seen the jack in place, because my dad took the jack out and left it lying around in the trunk before I could even care about changing a tire. Could somebody please post a pick of their spare tire well with the jack in its proper place? I think something might be broken down there on my car, because try as I might, I just can't get the jack into a position where it doesn't bounce around in the spare tire well producing an extraordinary amount of noise....

Jack needs to screwed to just about maximum down position. Then, it lays across the back side of the tire area with the bottomo of the jack to the far right and lifting lug dropping down into the well--there should be a piece of carpet glued there to prevent noise as the lifting lug contacts it. The cranking handle is then on the top side. The top of the jack nestles into a black plastic holder toward the left side of the well and there should be a gold metal clip that fits around the jack at about its middle.
