Where is 93/94 Security system module located?

Under the footwell passenger side or drivers side rear passenger compartment?

And what might the part number be?

I was under the impression it was under footwell. It is the one that interfaces with the ignition and it also is displayed in the radio by blinking lamp.

I was told by the indy was in the footwell and was the Black one with two plug sets into it. Next to the bigger Silver one that is reportedly cruise control.

This is in a 94 E320 wagon.

On my '95 wagon it is behind the instrument cluster. It may be accessable after dropping the knee panel.

I think it would be entirely different in 95. The whole model changed after 94. This would be a W124. The last year of them.

Oops!

The last 124s were built in July 1995. My old E320 Wagon was a June '95 build date car.

The '94s & '95s are very similar.

Latief's link has pictures identical to my set up. The black box being on the left and the silver on the right.

Thanks for the link Latief. That one I had found on search and was going to resort to, but as stated in my want add in the classifieds I was going to attempt to keep mine active by replacement rather than do the K38 relay jump. However I may resort to it. But I needed to know which module I was needing to get. And then there became some confusion as to that part number being the module needed. I am looking for assurances that it is indeed part number 124 820 56 26 [09] which is the number found on my Black Box found where your pictures show under the passenger footwell.

I know the location of mine. Same as in Latief's picture.

But I am being told by some that that black box with that part number is not the Security module. Thats the problem I am running into is this conflict of confirmation.

From EPC, Burglary alarm system from model year 1993

I suspect the 126 is a typo in EPC......I would assume the part number you indicated is infact the correct part,,,,

Good luck
