new to forum,need ur help,230ce climat control

hi all
im new to merc and this forum,i bought 230 ce 1990 w124 as summer project,i really like it and i would like to keep it as far as it goes,the prob is the climate control is not working at all when i start the car,i tried all the bottons hight,low,ec......but nothing seems to work,when i drive on moterway the blower motor kicks on suppling air but not in high flow,i followed all the posts to have an info,so i tried to move the key to the left and nothing happend,i put the climate cotrol on defrosting,nothing again,i replaced the 30a fuse and nothing again....please any ideas,i appreciate all help.thnx alot
