Hood Exchange Possible?
Well, I have searched but don't see that anyone has tried this before, or if the have, haven't posted anything about it.
I have a white 1992 300CE and would like to install the sleeker hood and grille from a 1993-94 E320? My question is; will this fit? I already have the headlights that fit an E320. I think both models (300CE & E320) are the W124 chassis, so wouldn't this be a bolt on modification? Are the fenders different? So, the big question is; will it fit? (Length, width, latch, hinges, etc.) I'm looking to go with a pearl paint job in August, so I was hoping to have it modified by then. If this cannot be done, well, I'll just get it painted with the original hood. Thanks! Michael B.

It's a bolt on mod, the fenders are the same for the two versions of the car.

Bolt-on. You'll need the new grille and surround, lights/wipers/filler panels, and hood ornament. Probably want the 2-color '94/'95 corners up front too, and maybe the '94/'95 2-color rears.
