You'll be Fine, Except for the fact you purchased a KAE which is nothing but Chinese Crap :(
Return it and get a Genuine piece. Jonathan |
Well the box says it was made in Germany and so does the picture in the middle.

KAE has IME, proven to be nothing but garbage. I've thrown away more nearly new KAE items then I can begin to imagine.
Again, buy a Genuine..it's the Only way to have a reliable OVP these days. Jonathan ---------------- Now playing: Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - Let Yourself Go via FoxyTunes |
You could take apart the old one and repair it. I was able to do with my OVP. I cleaned out the internals and touched up the solder connections.

you guys have never steered me wrong here in this forum and have saved me thousands of dollars, so i will order a different one. How about a Beck/Arnley or URO Parts? any good? and how Do I repair the old one?

kae
i've replaced my ovp with kae.... haven't had any problems in 3 or 4 years...
|
thanks for the reassurance lee. as i have said, this forum has never steered me wrog, but what I will do is order another brand ovp and still keep my kae that i bought. that way at least i'll still have one on standby in case theres any foul up. ....however, when i went back to look up the kae it was next to another brand and it said that the kae was the direct OE replacement.

I'm very happy with the German made KAE.
