AC Just Died

Suddenly, my AC quit..it was working fine last week ...

The blower is working, and when the AC button is pressed, you here hissing from inside the dash...but air is warm and moist....no cooling whatsoever.....

I don't think the compressor is circulating on and off...

man, i just finished fixing the throttle, and now this.....

Assuming that you are asking these questions pertaining to the car below your name, it would be a good place to start by removing the glove box liner and checking each line on the vertical manifold at the lower left as looking at the glove box. These are the lines leading to the vacuum pods that route air. If one of them is leaking, you will need to remove the dash and replace it. It is about a 14 hour job, so it's best to replace ALL of the pods while it's apart.

Hope this helps. If it turns out that there are no leaking lines, post your results here and we can go from there.

If the system was working just fine last week I would be inclined to start of by checking the system pressures. Can you visibly confirm that the compressor is engaging?

Hissing means refrigerant is no longer in liquid form. Get a can of virgin R134, a gauge, and recharge. Will take you all of 10 minutes.
