Horrible wrecked W220

Looks like the passenger area held up well considering the impact to the trunk...

Looks like it hit a tree in reverse runnin' about 100! Heck of a pole shot! Who knows man but I hope no one was in the back! If they lived they got a back ache for sure!

Look how much cash it is still bringin! I guess the engine alone is that much. Seats, dash, electronics add up pretty quick.

The car is worth nothing - they want the numbers/title off of it to transplant to a stolen car and make it "legit."

Joe:

They'll find another S500, same year, etc., steal it, take the vin of the wreck, put it on the stolen one. Register it, and they're good to go.

You can probably buy a nice stolen 2001 S500 for $10,000-$20,000, in the black market.

Hey I have a friend did something like that to his 81 VW Vanagon (Bus) just a week ago, he was driving to school a little to fast in the rain and started to fishtail, he went over the curb with the rear of the car first, hit the guard rail and smashed up his back end. Similar to this, there was obviously a post or tree instead of a curb and a guard rail, and must have been going much faster.

This thing is currently on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=599396720

They call it a "rebuilder" which concerns me...

Just another reminder to check out those used cars VERY carefully.
