1987 260E Abs System?

car stat: 1987 260E

I wonder if it's possible to switch off the ABS Brake system on this? It is giving me trouble like the sensor is bad or something. Basically the just kicks back at me when I come to stop light or something. It's not raining, it's not snowing. It behaves like the ABS is compensating for something like you get on a winter day driving on the snow. It's worst when the car just started up from cold. Gradually disappears after about 10 minutes driving. Is it possible to disable ABS altogether and just drive like an older car that has no ABS.

What usually cause this? ABS pump gone bad? or ABS sensors gone bad? Thanks!
