420 SEC general question

I am usually on the diesel board. Since picking up my first MB a month ago, I have started to notice them more often.

On my street, sitting lonely in the back of a driveway, is a 420 SEC. I don't know what the year is or anything about it. I did a quick search on it, Wikipedia states that there were only 3,680 built? Is this correct? Is this a car I should be trying to get my hands on?

I was curious about this car thinking it may need some work and I can fix it up and sell it. If it is worth something (and the owner does not know this) I could make some serious profit???
