92 300TE running weat at low RPM and hot

New injectors and newer fuel distributor got it running very good but it revs slow and weak power below 2500rpm. We live in hill country so the hills are a challenge unless you stomp it an dget r's above 3000. Engine gets hot .. Changed the radiator but It still runs hot. Mostly when going up hills and running a/c. I believe the heat is due directly to the weak engine, not other way around.Any ideas?

no ideas?

I havent been able to locate any solutions to the 300 running hot and weak. Anyone have any problems with timing, maybe? I am guessing that the advance may be stuck in advance, making the engine run good at hi revs but weak at low? Or would this make it also run hot? Any way to check without replacing or am i way off base?
Thanks

just some ideas

Fuel pressure regulator and or fuel filter. You may have a starvation problem. Tank pick-up filter if you have one may also be a problem at low rpms. If you can test your fuel pressure that would be a good starting point.

A low fuel condition could be causing a hot running engine. The same could be true if you have way too much ignition advance, but looking into fuel delivery first and if that is good check your timing to see if you are too far advanced.

Thank you very very much for your response/. I did , indeed, check the fuel pressure with respective tester, replaced fuel filters. Replaced injectors and used fuel distributor. Guess I need to take it in and test timing next.
Thank you.

Have you replaced the fuel Filter?? this is a major cause (usually) of similar problems, U putting accelerator down further, loading up the engine, without sufficient volume, the motor will starve, and obviously start to run hot, sluggish uphill, due to increased load, etc.. If not, best do it straight away.

Also always good 2 chk ignition timing, and fuel deliver volume n pressures.

Retarded ignition timing will run weak and hot, especially the exhaust manifold.

The mechanic says the timing is from a sensor on the flywheel, and can't be adjusted, thus, no adjustment.....unless someone pulled the flywheel and moved it. Fuel filter was replaced . The timing still sounds like a possible issue. Retarded timing makes it hot , eh? Starts really easy, but runs good at high revs.......maybe retarded. The Advance is working.....so maybe it is retarded? How do I check?.
